Jim's First Impressions of Soto EVOO
We're delighted to introduce Soto Farms EVOO made by a friend who grows wine grapes and olives in Santa Cruz County. This small batch of cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil from a beautiful orchard in Aptos, California was previously bottled by Wild Poppies. Now bottled by Soto Farms (owned by German Soto, pictured on the label), this renowned EVOO is known as a “crowd-pleaser at farmer’s markets.” It is a delight with bread or as a topping on any food.
The Jims tried it and found its flavor to be bold with notes of grass and pepper. It would be excellent with balsamic on Caprese salad or a dressing for other salads. While Bariani EVOO, our family's go-to olive oil for cooking, dressings, and drizzling, also has grassy notes, Bariani's is more of a mellow, moderate, multipurpose olive oil. Whereas Soto's is a robust finishing oil, best for drizzling or dipping.
Order Soto Farms EVOO on its own or request for it to be added to a Custom Gift.
Thanks for your past, Present, and future support!
